Professional motorcycle racer Tom Sykes was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, on August 19, 1985. He made his debut in the World Superbike Championship in 2008. Reunited with Paul Bird Motorsport for the 2022 season, Sykes rode a Ducati in British Superbikes and finished in 12th position.

After finishing fourth in the World Superbike Championship in 2018, Sykes departed the Kawasaki factory racing team and raced BMWs for Shaun Muir Racing in 2019. However, during the 2021 season, BMW Motorsport fired Sykes, citing Scott Redding's 2022 contract. He competes in global superbike races with a Kawasaki satellite team in 2023.

In addition, Tom Sykes is second behind Troy Corser in career race starts and has records for the most pole places in the World Superbike Championship. Early in 2022, the UK website Motorcycle News examined his World Superbike records and reported that out of 349 races, he had 34 victories, 114 podiums, and 51 pole positions.

Riding a Stobart Vent-Axia Honda, Tom Sykes secured his maiden ride in a British Superbike in 2007; in his debut season, he placed sixth overall. After this success, he signed a contract with the Rizla Suzuki team for the 2008 season. He continued to finish fourth in the championship and made appearances at Brands Hatch and Donington Park as a wildcard World Superbike rider. His strong performance at these events helped him secure a World Superbike ride at Yamaha Motor Italia for the 2009 season. He competed in the series in 2010 with a PBM Racing Kawasaki. 2013 saw him win his first SBK championship with Kawasaki.

Still can't believe how fast I received this item. I ordered Nov. 28th and it was on my front porch Dec. 01. Quality is outstanding as usual. I am 6'1' tall and 225 lbs. I normally wear an XLT shirt. Based on previous reviews, I ordered this vest in XXXL size due to wanting it to go over my jacket as well as wearing it without a jacket. PERFECT FIT !! It fits GREAT over my shirt with the sides laced fully closed, and with the side laces loosened up will fit over my heavy leather jacket without any problems. The back is long enough that I have no problem with the vest being short (I wear a tall size in shirts). SIngle piece back is great for my 14" size club patch. PLenty of pockets and they even include a few extra snaps just in case. I HIGHLY recommend this vest and agree that you need to order 1-2 sizes up from your normal shirt size. My experience was made great that the fact that the product looks and feels better than I expected. At first when I saw the reasonable price I was worried that either it was a scam or that the product would not be constructed well. Glad to say that I was wrong because the jacket, gloves and boots all look fantastic. The jacket and gloves fit really well. The boots seems to run on the bigger side but that is totally fine because they are still as comfortable as a race boot can be. The styling is awesome and I have already received many compliments. The company did well because during the process I had became worried and I reached out to customer service about the status of the order. I was happy that I received a reply back within two days explaining why I had not received my order. Within a few more days I received a confirmation of shipping and a few days later my order arrived looking better than I thought it would.
