Colin Edwards: Racing Royalty on Two Wheels

Colin Edwards is an American motorcycle racer, He was born February 27, 1974, He is also known as the "Texas Tornado". who competed in the MotoGP World Championship. He competed for the Factory Yamaha and Honda teams and was a two-time World Superbike runner-up. Edwards announced his retirement from racing in 2014.

The birthplace of Edwards is Conroe, TX. Edwards was initially exposed to a minibike at the age of three by his Australian father, Colin Edwards Sr., who is himself an amateur motorcycle racer. At the age of four, Edwards participated in his first motocross race. In the next ten years, Edwards rose to the top of the US juvenile motocross rankings, taking home several victories in local, regional, and national competitions in the 50cc to 80cc class.
